2012 apocalypse hell

2012 Represents the Beginning of Hell on Earth

Grant J. Kidney— The Mayans never spoke of a doomsday scenario- this much is certain. The ending of the Mayan calendar doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the world- but according to this author, it represents a unique marking point in history- the point of no return.

As our leaders prepare for a great and terrible war with Iran which may invariably lead to a third world war, as thousands ‘occupy’ the streets protesting big banks and mega corporations, and as natural disasters increase on a scale never seen before, the likelihood of reaching civilization’s point of no return becomes all too predictable.

The Hopi Indians, Nostradamus, the historical Merlin, and others had a mouthful to say concerning the year 2012. Many a book fill the new age section of Barnes and Noble, proliferating fear whilst earning authors plenty of bank. December 21st, 2012 we’re told will be mankind’s final day here on the planet Earth.

I used to put a lot of stock in to the idea that all will come crashing down in a single day alone. I’ve since changed my opinion however. I highly doubt that just a few days before this coming Christmas that our planet will get rocked by an asteroid or fall totally apart in just 24 hours worth of time. I do however believe that the year 2012 in and of itself represents the beginning of what I term the ‘slow grind’- meaning, the gradual death of modern day social orders.

Here’s the deal, the Earth is running out of oil, fresh water, and other such resources. We live on a finite planet but have installed a socio-economic model which prides itself on the notion of infinite growth. Its impossible to grow past our means- and according to mainstream science, if humans continue at the present rate of gross consumption, we’re going to need a second Earth to plunder very soon. Considering that the nearest Earth-like planet lies 20.3 light years away, its a sure bet that we’re pretty much doomed as a species.

Unless our leaders make the much needed jump in to an alternative model of civilization as offered up by groups such as the Venus Project, then all economies and all social orders will begin to unravel thus plunging the human species in to darkness and chaos.

Some are predicting violent revolution in America in the year 2012. As the economy continues to sink beneath the weight of massive debt which can never be paid off- and as record foreclosures continue to pound the housing market- folks have grown extremely bitter. All it would take is for just a tiny push to incite mass insurrection.

First the grocery stores will go down. Then cars will be overturned in the streets. Martial law will be declared as a means to control the now destabilized population. As the first world and subsequently the third world descend in to unbridled chaos and confusion following the crash of the global economy, more and more the world will begin to resemble what is seen in the post-apocalyptic movies.

I actually think the Mayans and others were dead on in terms of 2012 representing the closing of a particular age and the beginning of something new. The age of prosperity is now over. Welcome to the new era of virtual hell on Earth!
