Jemele Hill, the outspoken anti-Trump sports host, will leave ESPN after much outrage over mixing political commentary with sports-casting.
From New York Post:
Jemele Hill needed to be out at ESPN. Hill knew it. ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro knew it. And, now, Jemele Hill is out at ESPN.
The marriage between ESPN and Hill — the controversial sports commentator who waded into politics and sparred with President Donald Trump — has long been stuck in irreconcilable differences. Since leaving “SportsCenter” earlier this year, she has barely worked, making a divorce the obvious conclusion.
A buyout of her reported $2.5 million per year contract has been completed and her last day will be Friday, according to sources.
I’m so glad Jemele Hill got fired. ESPN finally taking out the trash and getting away from politics. Politics don’t mix with sports and shouldn’t. Good shit @espn

Last year, President Trump launched a cultural crusade against the world of sports, criticizing those who kneel during America’s national anthem. Ever since, many ungrateful sports stars have struck back at the President, insinuating that their disrespect for America is universally accepted among the public at large.
But if statistics mean anything, then last year’s major NFL ratings pushback indicates that the public is sick of watching millionaire athletes disrespect America’s flag and veterans.
11 percent ratings drop in NFL viewership. That’s 2 MILLION PEOPLE. The Trump Effect is REAL and you lefties better learn. 👌🏻 pic.twitter.com/Mionh1Tvif
