President Trump is in hot water for statements made about Andrew Jackson and America’s Civil War.
Trump basically said that the Civil War wasn’t necessary and could have been prevented had someone like Andrew Jackson been President at the time.
Trump’s statements echo those of Dr. Ron Paul, who also declared that the Civil War was an unnecessary fight which cost countless lives.
Interestingly enough, the lives lost in America’s Civil War were predominantly White. In other words, over 600,000 White men died freeing the slaves.
Of course Twitter didn’t take too kindly to my pointing out of this fact.
