Trump’s Jerusalem decision is fulfillment of bible prophecy

Grant J. Kidney, December 6, 2017-

According to scriptures, a third Jewish temple must be built prior to the return of Jesus Christ.

Historically, Israel has had two major temples. One was called ‘Solomon’s Temple’. It was destroyed prior to the birth of Christ. Israel’s second temple existed during Christ’s earthly ministry.

The Bible says that a figure called the Antichrist will stand in a newly built, third Jewish temple and proclaim himself to be God.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

Jesus says that when this event occurs, the world will be cast into ‘great tribulation’.

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place… For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matt 24:15, 21

A concept of Israel’s third temple.

Trump designating Jerusalem as Israel’s capital will allow for the building of a new, Jewish temple which is a requirement for Jesus Christ to return.

For decades, Israel has not been permitted by edict of international consensus to build a new temple on land claimed by Palestine. Trump’s moving of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem upends this rule and adds tremendous gravitas to the notion of constructing a new temple.
