Italy’s Economic Crisis: Yet Another Country That Needs Bailed Out
The Italian economic crisis, just like the Greek economic crisis, just like the rest of the Eurozone’s economic crisis, just like the American economic crisis, is yet again another example of money’s stifling effects on human progress.
ABC News released a piece today concerning why the Italian economic crisis should mean something to you. In the article, it was asserted that Italy is the world’s 7th largest economy. If Italy collapses, it would send shockwaves throughout the economic world. Toward the end of the article, it was argued that Italy must be bailed out in order to avert such a travesty.
Who’s going to bail out Italy? None other than the tax payers of course. That’s you and me by the way.
No nation should be bailed out. Nations should be allowed to collapse. Its their fault that their economies are so crappy and in the tank anyway.
We live in such a dog-eat-dog, social-darwinian kind of world- yet when it comes to banks, mega corporations, and entire countries as a whole, somehow the cut-throatedness ceases and we all have to play mommy-daddy caretaker. What gives?
I think it would be rather funny to watch a nation collapse right before my eyes. The carnage would be so juicy that I could pass a knife through it as if it were a pile of warm-butter. Well, I suppose it could be said that I am watching the collapse of a nation- my nation that is, the United States.
I don’t mean to be insensitive here, but humans should get what they deserve- and that’s a total break down of their social orders. Some people are rioting and taking a shot at bringing about global change- some. But most people simply don’t care about matters which affect us the most- and this lack of concern will be the undoing of the entire species.
Get your pop-corn ready because its all down hill from here, boys and girls!
Love, the author.
