Kony 2012: Plot to Deflate Occupy Wall Street?
Grant J. Kidney— The ‘Kony 2012′ video has taken the Internet by storm- and it has many good intentioned folk confused as to just what exactly should be done to dispose of Joseph Kony.
The situation in Uganda is quite tragic- but such has always been the case with the whole of the tumultuous continent that is Africa. Wars, infighting, genocide, and disease grip the many African nations in what can only be seen as cyclical corruption.
‘Kony 2012′ purveys a positive message- ending the troubling conflict in Uganda and saving children. The problem however is that merely arresting and trying Kony would ultimately prove ineffectual considering the fact that in Kony’s absence would arise yet another mad-man seeking to rule.
Enter Occupy Wall Street. OWS has waged war on the folks truly responsible for many of the social ills felt round about the planet- the kingpins of market capitalism.
It has long been the terrible reign the corporate, ‘new world order’ oligarchy which has suppressed the people of Africa. The IMF, the World Bank, and the United Nations have cast a deadly shadow upon the African continent which has only helped to put folks like Joseph Kony in to power.
The Kony 2012 movement must be seen as a desperate propaganda piece put out by the military industrial complex so as to cripple all that groups like Occupy Wall Street have fought against- and that is the dissolution of the oligarchical reign of the greedy American empire.
War is big business. There’s no chance in hell that the U.S. would ever involve itself in a war unless defense contractors had something to gain from it. Kony 2012 is all about moving folks toward a petitioning of their government to launch headlong in to a conflict which could undoubtedly cause more problems than what are already existent at present.
Occupy Wall Street has waged war on the truly corrupt. The end of the world financial empire will push folks like Kony out of the way for good. Those atop the artificial social ladder are aware of this fact and are now attempting to dampen the effect that groups like the Occupy movement have by introducing a new false social activist movement to shift focus away from those who are truly to blame for all the world’s ills.
