Pentagon’s Terminator Cheetah-Robot Sets New Land Speed Record

Grant J. Kidney— The Pentagon is boasting of a new land speed record set by its artificial, terminator like cheetah-robot which may someday be used to hunt down resistors to government.

The good news is that the bot is nowhere near the speeds clocked of flesh and blood cheetahs in the wild. Still however, the technological terror has shown that it can run at speeds up to 18mph which is a bit faster than the normal human jogger.

In a video put out by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), the robot cheetah was seen running on a treadmill at an incredible pace. A terrifying sight if there ever were one for those weary of an overarching government which boasts of activating FEMA concentration camps across the country.

The robot was developed by a company known as ‘Boston Dynamics’ which works very closely with the U.S. Department of Defense. Boston Dynamics has in the past developed such robots like the ‘Big Dog’ which is capable of carrying over 400lb of cargo thus alleviating the load in which a human soldier would normally be required to haul.

As of now, the robo cheetah is incapable of free roaming. Plans however to unleash the cheetah in a free-range environment are slated to manifest sometime later this year.

Its quite sad that some are developing robots such as this cheetah for purposes of war. Imagine if all the ingenuity and innovation normally funneled in to war were to go in to education, health care, and other humane pursuits.
