Positive Thinking, Meditation to Destroy Establishment

Protests are raging round about the globe. Occupy Wall Street is not just an American movement. Citizens everywhere have grown weary of governments, big banks, and mega corporations. But is protesting enough to bring down the establishment and to build in its place a brand new world?

A study was port forth which suggests that if only ten percent of the population believes something that the majority will almost always follow suit. If such is the case, then it can be easily demonstrated that if just the right amount of people were to begin thinking positively concerning humanity’s future, then great change in the world could possibly manifest by the power of sheer thought alone.

There is so much anger and rage in this our world which means so much wasted thinking power. Ours is a species which must learn to control its rage else face the inevitable consequences of nuclear war.

The Buddhist tradition teaches us to clear our heads and to disregard attachment. This, according to the Buddhist model, is what ultimately ends suffering. Meditation coupled with the intent of relinquishing desire is the Buddhist path to enlightenment.

We don’t necessarily have to rid ourselves of desire in order to attain a more peaceful world. Calm minds stilled by the effects of deep meditation worldwide is enough collective thinking power to end the established order of business and to provide a solid foundation for a brand new world to come.

If you don’t already meditate, begin to do so. Encourage your friends and family to as well. If enough people come together to calm the collective mind of humanity, results are sure to manifest. This is the path to peace. This is what movements like Occupy Wall Street need to embrace.
