Rick Perry Would Send Troops Back to Iraq, Relaunch War

In the most recent GOP debate forum in New Hampshire, Presidential candidate Rick Perry stated that he would re-ignite the war in Iraq by sending thousands of troops back to the region.

Perry’s inexcusable warmongering has taken new heights with his seeking to prolong America’s Iraq war era which has seen the deaths of over 5,000 of our own soldiers and a million dead Iraqis.

The former Texas governor erroneously labels the return of America’s troops to our shores as an act of ‘liberalism’. Quite the contrary, America’s wars have bankrupted its economy. In fact, seeking to bring the troops home is a rather anti-big spending, ‘conservative’ motive given that hundreds of billions of dollars would be saved in so doing.

Many of the returning troops have come home to a nation devastated economically. Worse, suicide has claimed more soldiers’ lives than the supposed ‘enemies’ fought in Iraq. 

If Rick Perry wants more war, it should be incumbent upon himself to take up arms and to physically join the troops in combat. George Washington, the nation’s first President, fought along side his troops. Perry has no excuse otherwise if elected President and seriously re-ignites conflict in the region of ancient Babylon.
