Top 13 reasons not to vote for Obama in 2012

Grant J. Kidney — The other day I was asked by a fellow to provide a list of all the bad things that Barack Obama has done since assuming the role of President four years ago.

Surely we here lots of rhetoric coming from the Republicans over their view of how Obama has destroyed the country. But what of us civil libertarians? What are some of the points that we hammer away upon concerning all the terrible things that Obama has done since becoming President?

The following is by no means a comprehensive list of disgraceful acts committed by the President- but each are points that I personally feel to be of utmost importance.

Remember these issues when you go to the ballot box in November.

1.) Barack Obama signed in to law the National Defense Authorization Act (‘NDAA’ for short), a bill which grants him the authority to kidnap, torture, and execute American citizens without first having to issue a trial: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/31/obama-defense-bill_n_1177836.html

2.) As commander-in-chief of the U.S. armed forces, Obama is responsible for troop movements around the world. At a whim, he could bring them home. Rather, Obama has committed more and more soldiers to the failed war in Afghanistan which has destroyed many, many lives. In addition, as commander-in-chief, Obama has authorized the use of predator drones in countries such as Pakistan and Yemen. There are pictures of dead children, each of whom died by Obama’s drone strikes.
