We either adopt a new social system or be destroyed!

Grant J. Kidney — In the following clip, I deliver an important speech concerning the global need for a resource based economy. In a resource based economy, there is no money and no nation states. All the world works together for the common good and nothing is ever wasted. Truth be told, if a resource based economy is not implemented within the span of a generation, then its quite possible that the human species will become all but extinct within one hundred years time.

Scientists project that at the current rate of consumption, man now requires two earths in order to sustain his lifestyle. Considering that the nearest star system lies four whole light years from the Earth- meaning it would take a beam of light four years to reach that system- it is a sure bet that unless human industrial civilization is updated so as to meet the challenges of this new century, then we will literally consume ourselves to death.

But it isn’t just consumption that’s killing us. Thermonuclear warfare is a real threat in these dark times as petty religious conflicts and territorial disputes mix to form a dangerous scenario wherein a third world war becomes quite the possibility.

Life under a resource based economy wouldn’t be perfect, but it would ultimately prove better than what we write off today as ‘civilization’.
