Why Gun Ownership Ought to be Compulsory

Why are there so many violent gun crimes in America?

First off, the media conditions us to accept that gun ownership is just plain wrong. Criminals take note of such conditioning and use it to their advantage. Knowing full well that the majority of their victims are disarmed, criminals can move in for the kill with some ease.

Gun ownership ought to be compulsory as it would send a strong signal to would-be violent gun offenders that they might be in for a world of trouble if preying on other people is their prerogative.

I think perhaps that the reason why Switzerland- the nation with the fewest gun laws and highest rate of gun ownership- is a pretty damn safe place to live is because most aspiring criminals are aware of the fact that their pulling a gun on a fellow Swiss citizen might get them popped in the head.

Why doesn’t America just experiment with a compulsory gun-ownership law to see if it really works? If it doesn’t, what’s the least that could happen? Prescription medicated, zombie Americans start shooting each other out on the streets? Good- the world could use a lot less stupid people if I do say so myself.
