Why I Think The Aliens Are Coming
Within the last decade, the question as to whether or not we are alone in the universe has been adopted by some pretty serious institutions such as the Roman Catholic Church. Vatican astronomers, as well as many acclaimed scientists from around the globe have seemingly switched their attitudes concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life. It’s as if those in high places are prepping us, the little people, for perhaps one of the biggest announcements in human history- that we either have or are about to be visited by a race of superior beings.
Even hard-core skeptics such as biologist Richard Dawkins, a prominent atheist, admit that alien life is a possibility and that it’s certainly not out of the ordinary to ponder whether or not we might possibly be visited someday by an extraterrestrial civilization millions of years ahead of our own. The doors of the universe have been flung wide open- I sense a major shift in human consciousness coming our way!
Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist and personal hero of mine postulates that if we happen to come across a signal indicating the existence of extraterrestrial life, that it would probably be best to keep things under wraps and from the public’s attention- at least for a little while. This is a game-plan I tend to agree with. Can you imagine the pandemonium which would undoubtedly sweep the globe if such information were disseminated all at once to the swaths of common-folk? Anarchy times a million, people!
I share a belief with many that the governments of the West are already privy to the existence of alien life and are waiting for the perfect moment to make the big announcement. However, if our governments are for some reason at war with extraterrestrials, don’t expect any such revelation… ever. Hundreds of millions, upon hearing that we’re engaged in an intergalactic struggle far greater than the puny wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan, would commit suicide. The streets would run with blood up to an adult man’s waist!
It’s been speculated that alien life wouldn’t necessarily be a force to reckon with due to the vast intelligence these beings would possess. However, note the fact that to an inferior species such as ants, human beings are pretty vicious- we step on them and think nothing of it at all! So it’s pretty hard to say with any certainty whether or not alien life would be friendly or ferocious.
Regardless to the nature of these creatures, I do believe they’re on their way or that at least, the common man will become certain of their existence. Who knows what such a revelation will bring? Nevertheless, our collective consciousness will be raised to a new level and our species forever changed.
