Why Socially Aware Liberals, Anarchists, & Environmentalists Should Vote For Ron Paul in 2012
The state of the world is unarguably dire. Wars for empire, huge gaps between the rich and the poor, environmental catastrophe, unending consumer waste, etc. In 2012, socially aware folks will once again find it a gross waste of both their time and their effort to vote for anyone since- realistically- all votes count toward the continuation of the establishment in the end.
There is one politician however that true liberals, anarchists, environmentalists and other types of conscious folks should at least try supporting- and that is Ron Paul.
Sure, Ron Paul’s economics are flawed considering that he is a self professed Capitalist and proponent of the so called “free-market”. However, the man has his head screwed on properly when it comes to virtually everything else- especially war.
Ron Paul wants to end America’s empire abroad. Pulling troops out of virtually every country on Earth will send great relief to the peoples of this planet suffering beneath the iron hand of the despotic American government. Torture, secret arrests, predator drones and the like will play no part in Ron Paul’s hypothetical administration if elected President.
Ron Paul also wants to put an end to America’s failed war on drugs. If elected, Paul wouldn’t tolerate the locking up of individuals simply for their drug habits. A great sense of true freedom will be felt in this respect if the U.S. government just stopped playing mommy and daddy by punishing- even in some cases- sick people who rely on- say marijuana- to ease whatever ailment they might be experiencing.
It’s important to look past many of the components of Paul’s philosophies which one might tend to disagree with and to simply embrace that which can be agreed with. Undoubtedly, Ron Paul is the best choice out of every one of the corporate controlled, war-mongering puppet politicians running for President in 2012.
Socially conscious folks such as myself wish to see a great liberation of the human species from the various ills which have held us back for so many years. Electing Ron Paul to office is the start of this process. Its later on that we can build on the foundations of sanity that a Paul administration would bring to both this country and this world.
