WW3 ALERT: Russia, China veto UN Security Council resolution on Syria
What we are witnessing here is the dangerous culmination of west vs. east. Combined, both Russia and China have a very strong chance at stopping NATO from its bloody ransacking of Syria.
Tensions between Russia, China, and the U.S. were at an all time high at the beginning of this year when the U.S. war machine came very close to attacking the sovereign nation of Iran. Only time will tell what this historic veto actually means in a geopolitical sense.
It is quite possible that we are watching the beginning stages of a third world war unravel.

Herald Tribune — Russia and China vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution on Thursday that threatened Syrian authorities with sanctions if they did not halt violence against an uprising, again thwarting Western hopes for tough action as the crisis in Syria escalates.
It was the third time that Russia, a key ally of the Syrian government, and China have used their veto power to block resolutions designed to pressure Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and halt the 16-month conflict that has killed thousands.
With the mandate for a U.N. observer mission in Syria set to expire at midnight Friday (0400 GMT Saturday), Western states that pushed the resolution to renew the operation under a threat of sanctions against Damascus reacted angrily to the vetoes.
