Your Post 2012 Survival Guide… In Case the Mayans Were Right!

What if doomsayers were right and it all comes crashing down on December 21st, 2012? Are you prepared to survive in a post-apocalyptic setting?

The Mayans didn’t specifically state that the world would end on December 21st, 2012. In fact, the only event of significance to occur on this date is the running out of the Mayan long count calendar system. However, tie-ins from various other cultures around the globe concerning forthcoming doomsday events create a perfect mosaic of apocalyptic proportions that may or may not occur toward the end of next year.

NASA is projecting a huge onslaught from our nearby star, the sun, toward the end of the year 2012- coinciding with the ending of the Mayan long count calendar. Its quite possible that a powerful CME (coronal mass ejection) might be shot out from the sun and hit the Earth’s magnetic field with such immense power that it could virtually wipe out all Satellite communication systems and plunge the Earth into absolute darkness and thus total anarchy.

Whether or not the more outlandish doomsday scenarios will ever manifest is irrelevant. What we have with a possible solar interruption of our power grid is a scientifically plausible and highly likely event to occur.

This post 2012 survival guide plays on the aforementioned global black-out scenario and breaks down just what one must do in order to survive the forthcoming nightmare.

The following are a few important steps that one must take in order to stay alive in a world plunged into utter chaos.

Get Out of the City!

The city will by far be the most dangerous place to dwell if ever a global black out were to occur. Without any means to communicate or coordinate, the police and the military would be unable to keep a city’s dense population under any level of control. Violent gangs therefore will begin to slowly take over and greatly restrict the flow of movement in and out of the city system.

Anyone who fails to navigate away from metropolitan areas in a post apocalyptic world is as good as dead.

Head to the Woods!

The only safe place to be in a post apocalyptic world is in the woods. Set up a little bunker and secure the mother f**ker with some diligence to ward off any would be intruders.

Shoot to Kill!

Because it will be dangerous to form alliances with people who you do not know- people who will more than likely be hungry and thus plotting ways to take what it is that you have- you must outsmart such people and shoot them before they can shoot you!

When you’ve laid waste to your potential adversary, make sure to plunder everything that he has which can be of some use to you. This is a particularly important step to follow if you were one of the unfortunate members of the species who had failed to store away food, water, guns, and ammunition for an eventual apocalypse.

STAY STRONG!

In a post apocalyptic world, one must be brutal and ruthless and work only to protect one’s self and one’s family. Survival is essential. Food and water are of course a must- and getting these things by any means necessary will be paramount to one’s success in navigating through an upside down world.

If 2012 is truly the end of the world as we know it, its better to get prepared now while you still can.
